A closer look at the Off-White x Air Jordan 2 low “Black”
absolutely nobody was expecting the Off-White x Air Jordan 2 low “Black”. When they first leaked last month, even industry insiders were baffled by them, with lots of even calling them fakes and counterfeits. with that said, it looks like Virgil Abloh is undoubtedly working on this upcoming collaboration, and we’re now taking a closer look!
A homage to one of the most underrated Michael Jordan sneakers ever made, the “Black” is inspired by one of the Air Jordan 2’s OG colourways. originally released back in 1987, the silhouette was created by Bruce Kilgore and was made in Italy for an extra luxe feeling. While we’re not entirely sure whether or not this Off-White version will be made there, there’s no doubt that it looks pretty premium. With various leather textures for added depth, brogue-style perforations offer up a dressy aesthetic that’s pretty much unheard of in the basketball shoe world.

MJ’s signature is scrawled across the lateral side panel, while the medial wall is saved for the signature Off-White x Nike detailing that we all know and love. The legendary winged basketball graces the tongue in a “Royal Blue” hue, and interestingly enough, the Air midsole underfoot is given a cracked exterior for a vintage vibe which, while questionable, is something that’s slowly growing on us.
Pretty much nothing else is known about the Off-White x Nike Air Jordan 2 low “Black” at this moment in time, but we know for a fact that they’ll be launching at select merchants on September 23rd alongside the “White”. let us know what you think of this upcoming collab, and while you’re here, here’s how you can cop the Off-White x Nike dunk low “Dear Summer” Collection!
